Job Description

Purpose of the Role:

  • Manage Safety for all projects activities as per Safety Policies
  • Implement safety methods
  • Monitor for zero accidents

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Safety manager; construction team; client and customers on functional safety.
  • Monitor safety for all ongoing project activities.
  • To carry out necessary arrangements for safety as per the work zones on daily basis.
  • Conduct safety induction to employees and labours involving in project activities.
  • Arrange Barricade and ban unauthorized entry in the site premises.
  • Arrange for signage boards around the site premises.
  • Check for work permits, ID card, Entry pass for the project activities.
  • Provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to all personnel involving in site activities.
  • Monitor & keep a track on Safety Equipment.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT) training to the sub-contractor and labours.
  • Monitor the movement of heavy machineries and ensure its safe operation at site.
  • Prepare the manuals related to Safety, Health, Environment.
  • Update safety documents; training records; checklists on daily basis.
  • Conduct safety induction to employees and labours involving in project activities.
  • Monitor for recertification for all Fire extinguishers, First Aid kit, lifting tools and other equipment.
  • Observe plant safety inspection and identify the unsafe acts; unsafe condition and notify.
  • Record all accidents and HSE related incidents and report them to management.
  • Conduct risk assessment for each activity and participate in the process of investigation.
  • Raise intend for the safety materials to the project sites.
  • Organize and conduct HSE training programs on safety policies and procedures.
  • Proficient at developing the HSE plan and deliver in accordance with IS codes, guidelines, and project design specifications.
  • Keeps abreast with all respective regulations and standards.
  • Conduct internal HSE audits, inspection and risk assessment.
  • Implement various measures to achieve high safety in the organization.
  • Check for any safety violations and raise Safety Warning Report (SWR) for the site activities.
  • Conduct safety audits in a phased manner with compliances of safety standards.
  • Participate to continuous improvement initiatives related to the safety process or tools deployment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned in line with the organization goals and objectives.
